FAZENDA VILA BOA, BRAZIL

Fazenda Vila Boa is owned by Monica Borges and her husband, fourth generation coffee producing family.
The fazenda is located in Carmo da Mata, state of Minas Gerais. It's location has a subtropical humid climate with a good annual average temperature, consistent and healthy rainfall, ideal altitude, perfect topography and healthy soil.
A part from this unique terroir, fazenda Vila Boa has always been very involved in social and environmental concerns. The plantation is one of the few in Brazil to be carbon positive. Certified by GRÖN, the carbon neutral certification demonstrates that the farm sequesters more carbon (through plant life) than it emits (through harvest & processing).
